Do Men Need Moisturiser? Yes. Here Is the Two Line Reason

Short version: yes. Every time you wash your face you remove some of the oil that keeps water in the skin. Moisturiser puts a light layer back so the skin stays comfortable and does not over produce oil to compensate. It takes ten seconds and it should vanish.

What moisturiser actually does

It does not add water to your skin. It stops the water that is already there from leaving. After washing, your skin is clean and slightly stripped. A light moisturiser seals it so it stays balanced through the day instead of going tight by 11am and shiny by 3pm.

The three myths

"My skin is oily so I do not need it"

The opposite. Oily skin is often dehydrated skin over producing. A light moisturiser calms that down.

"It feels greasy"

You used too much, or you used one made for your body. A pea for the whole face, and it should be gone in seconds.

"Real men do not moisturise"

Real men look after their gear. This is your face.

How to use it

Every morning after washing and serum. A pea of product. Face and neck. Done. If your skin is dry, apply while the face is still slightly damp.

The routine, in order

Questions

Morning or night? Morning. At night you use night oil instead, which does the sealing job while you sleep.

Can I use the same one on my body? You can use face moisturiser on your body, not the other way round. Body creams are heavier and sit on the face.

Does it replace SPF? No. In the sun, put any facial SPF over it. We do not make one.
